SCAFF – Licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding basic level

Purpose:

The purpose of this course is to provide participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at the basic level, consisting of scaffolding work connected with the operation or use of modular or pre-fabricated scaffolds, cantilevered materials hoists with a maximum working load of 500kg, ropes and gin wheels, safety nets and static line, and bracket scaffolds (tank and formwork) for licencing purposes.

Description:

This course will prepare students during the basic scaffolding training for the final and mandatory assessment in a way that ensures they feel comfortable, confident and ready to complete the mandatory “licence to” assessment.

Step one, the training, includes formal training, formative assessments for the additional certificates during the purposely designed workshops for the licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding basic level (formerly known as basic scaffolding licence).

Assessment:
