knowledge to perform basic rigging work associated with movement of plant and equipment, steel erections, hoists (including mast climbing hoists), placement of pre-cast concrete, safety nets and static lines, perimeter safety screens and shutters; and cantilever crane loading platforms for licensing purposes. Basic Rigging (RB) is designed to give participants the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake Basic Rigging work safely and competently.
On completion, candidates will be able to undertake:
erect hoists (including mast climbing hoists);
place pre-cast concrete;
move plant and equipment using a variety of means including skates,
tirfors and other means;
install safety nets and static lines;
install perimeter safety screens and shutters; and,
install cantilever crane loading platforms.
Candidates will also gain a sound knowledge of applicable legislation and standards and risk management associated with related to Basic Rigging operations.
By completing this training and assessment you will be awarded the High Risk Licence class RB.
The course will be based on theoretical sessions, equipment demonstrations and practical exercises. Each successful participant will be issued with a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for CPCCLDR3001A Licence to perform rigging basic level
