PFA_3Unit – PROVIDE FIRST AID Cluster

Purpose:

This course cluster describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid
response to a casualty, and to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with
the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC). These units apply to all workers who may be
required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, life support, management of casualty(s)until the arrival of medical or other assistance.

PFA 3 UNIT Cluster
Description:

This program has been designed to meet the requirements of both HLTAID003 Provide First Aid HLTAID002 Perform Basic Emergency Life Support and HLTAID001 Provide CPR.

Upon successful completion of all assessment tasks participants will receive a statement of attainment for HLTAID003 Provide First Aid, also incorporating HLTAID001 Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and HLTAID002 Perform Basic Emergency Life Support
