- Use initial response equipment on small un-established workplace fires and
- Report those workplace emergencies.

Description: | This course covers the competencies required to confine small workplace emergencies. Small workplace emergencies may include such incidents such as a chemical spill which can be controlled using personal protective clothing and a small spill kit.
These units have been developed to cover the broad range of emergencies and workplaces as considered in Australian Standard 3745 -2010.

Assessment: | The course will be based on theoretical sessions, equipment demonstrations and practical exercises.

Entry Requirements: | Language, literacy and numeracy requirements from the unit are:
- Writing is required to the level of completing written assessments.
- Numeracy is required to enable the determination of similar activities.
Arrive in suitable attire, including long pants and closed-in shoes if undertaking classroom training.
