Description: | This course is designed to familiarise participants with the knowledge and skills required to assist with the control of an emergency incident as part of a fire and rescue team.

Assessment: | The course will be based on theoretical sessions, equipment demonstrations and practical exercises.
Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Riklan Emergency Management Services (RTO 51994)

Entry Requirements: | Entry requirements:
Language, literacy and numeracy requirements from the unit are:
- Writing is required to the level of completing written assessments.
- Numeracy is required to enable the determination of similar activities.

Mode of Delivery: | Face to face and practical hands-on training conducted by an experienced Emergency Services instructor with strong knowledge of relevant legislation and Australian Standards.
