| Description | This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to use specialised equipment in the provision of resuscitation in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. |

| Duration | 6 hours with pre-reading |

| Entry Requirements | Prior knowledge/competence in basic CPR at the discretion of the trainer/booking staff. Language, literacy and numeracy requirements from the unit are: |

| Assessment Requirements | The course will be based on theoretical sessions, equipment demonstrations and practical exercises. |
||
| Delivery Mode | Face to face and practical hands-on training conducted by an experienced Emergency Services instructor with strong knowledge of relevant legislation and Australian Standards. |

| Materials or Equipment Required | Students must wear enclosed shoes. |
||
| Notes | If you are a new or continuing student undertaking nationally recognised training, you need a USI in order to receive your qualification or statement of attainment for this unit. |
