ADV_RESUS - Advanced Resuscitation Standalone

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to use specialised equipment in the provision of resuscitation in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
This unit applies to workers who may be required to use specialised equipment to provide resuscitation in a range of complex situations, including community and workplace settings.

6 hours with pre-reading

Prior knowledge/competence in basic CPR at the discretion of the trainer/booking staff.

Language, literacy and numeracy requirements from the unit are:
- Writing is required to the level of completing written assessments.
- Numeracy is required to enable the determination of similar activities.

The course will be based on theoretical sessions, equipment demonstrations and practical exercises.
While the training for the enrolled units is delivered concurrently, each Unit of Competency is assessed as a discrete unit.
Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Riklan Emergency Management Services (RTO 51994)

Face to face and practical hands-on training conducted by an experienced Emergency Services instructor with strong knowledge of relevant legislation and Australian Standards.

Students must wear enclosed shoes.
