| Description | This course involves the skills and knowledge required to load and unload goods and cargo, including loading and unloading goods, securing and protecting the load and completing all required documentation. It also involves the skills and knowledge required to secure cargo in accordance with procedures and regulatory requirements as part of work activities within the transport and logistics industry. It includes preparing to secure cargo/containers, lashing and unlashing cargo, protecting cargo from weather, and packing and unpacking cargo. Work is performed under some supervision generally within a team environment. Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements are applicable to this course. |

| Entry Requirements | Language, literacy and numeracy requirements from the unit are: |

| Assessment Requirements | Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Riklan Emergency Management Services (RTO 51994) |

| Delivery Mode | Face to face and practical hands-on training conducted by an experienced Emergency Services instructor with strong knowledge of relevant legislation and Australian Standards. |

| Notes | If you are a new or continuing student undertaking nationally recognised training, you need a USI in order to receive your qualification or statement of attainment for this unit. |
