Each successful participant will be issued with a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for: PUASAR032A Undertake vertical rescue

PUASAR022A Participate in rescue operations


The purpose of this course is to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and technical skills to safely conduct a rescue from height or depths using Advanced Rope Rescue Techniques and Procedures. While the training for the two units is delivered concurrently, each Unit of Competency is assessed as a discrete unit. The pre-requisite units are assessed sequentially.

HLTFA211A Provide basic emergency life support, certificate copy required
PUAEME001B Provide emergency care, copy required

Assessment Requirements

The course will be based on theoretical sessions, written assessment, equipment demonstrations and practical exercises.

Materials or Equipment Required

Students must wear long pants, long sleeve shirts and steel cap boots.
