Description

This course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to use specialised equipment in the provision of resuscitation in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. Unit included HLTAID015

Advanced Resuscitation Standalone (1)

Purpose

This course applies to personnel who may be required to provide advanced resuscitation in a range of complex situations, including community and workplace settings.

Duration

The course will be conducted over 6 hours plus Pre-Course Reading and Exercises.

Entry Requirements

Prior knowledge/competence in Basic CPR at the discretion of the Trainer/Administration Booking staff.

It is a requirement of this course that for the practical demonstration of CPR, you must be able to kneel comfortably on the floor.

Photo ID must be presented on arrival at the training premises.

Language, literacy and numeracy requirements from the unit are:
- Writing is required to the level of completing written assessments.
- Numeracy is required to enable the determination of similar activities.

Qualification Requirements

Pre-requisite HLTAID011 Provide first aid.
Pre-requisite evidence is required to be provided before issuance of the Statement of Attainment.

Assessment Requirements

The course will be based on theoretical sessions, equipment demonstrations and practical exercises.

Participants who are deemed competent will receive a Nationally recognised Statement of Attainment issued by RIKLAN Emergency Management Services (RTO 51994) under the Australian Qualifications Framework.

Delivery Mode

Face to face and practical hands-on training conducted by an experienced Emergency Services Trainer/Assessor with strong knowledge of relevant Legislation, Australian Standards and Codes of Practice.

Materials or Equipment Required

Participants must wear long pants, long sleeve shirts and enclosed footwear.

Notes

If you are a new or continuing student undertaking Nationally recognised training, you will need a USI in order to receive your Qualification or Statement of Attainment for this training program.
