Our fire extinguisher training course is designed to ensure trainees are suitably versed in the safe use of fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire blankets. This course includes both a theory and a practical component to ensure that successful participants can safely attend and resolve confined small workplace fire incidents. This course is a must for all organisations that want to equip their employees with the expert knowledge needed in a first response emergency situation.

Participants will be assessed throughout the 4 hour course and will need to have completed the following in order to be deemed competent:
• Satisfactorily completed all questionnaires within the manual.
• Complete the theory exam to the satisfaction of the training facilitator
• Successfully completed all tasks allocated within the practical scenarios
• Showed considerable knowledge in the application of equipment and techniques covered within this course
Each successful participant will be issued a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment in CPPFES2005A Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment.
Language, literacy and numeracy requirements from the unit are:
- Writing is required to the level of completing written assessments.
- Numeracy is required to enable the determination of similar activities.
Arrive in suitable attire, including long pants and closed-in shoes if undertaking classroom training.
Mode of Delivery:
Face to face and practical hands-on training conducted by an experienced Emergency Services instructor with strong knowledge of relevant legislation and Australian Standards.
