Gavin started his career in Emergency Response working for Queensland Fire & Rescue Services where he stayed for 8 years before joining Emergency Management Queensland performing technical Rescue techniques.
As his career and skills advanced, he then moved into Mine Emergency Rescue where he help positions such as the Captain of Emergency Response Teams, Remote Rescue Medic and Incident Commander over a period of 15 years, 6 of which he dedicated to underground environments where he became au fait with the BG4 and other underground disciplines.
This wealth of experience led him to commencing the next step in his career as an Emergency Response Training Consultant with Riklan where he will be able to pass on his knowledge and transfer these valuable skills to up and coming rescuers.
