Description | This qualification reflects the role of Emergency Response and Rescue team members who work on a mine site or a construction site and who perform tasks involving a broad range of skilled applications in a wide variety of contexts, which involve some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures. |

Duration | The course duration in a complete block is 17 days. |

Entry Requirements | Some of the courses listed have pre-requisite requirements. In most cases the pre-requisites are covered during the training. The pre-requisite units attached to any core or elective units must be obtained and are additional to the number of units required for this Qualification. Photo ID must be presented on arrival at the training premises. Language, literacy and numeracy requirements from the unit are: Participants must be clean shaven when required to wear breathing apparatus as part of the course. |

Qualification Requirements | Upon satisfactory completion of this training, the participant will be awarded the Nationally Recognised Qualification RII30719 - Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue |

Assessment Requirements | The course will be based on theoretical sessions, equipment demonstrations and practical exercises. While the training for the enrolled units is delivered concurrently, each unit of competency is assessed as a discrete unit. Participants who are deemed competent will receive a Nationally recognised Qualification issued by RIKLAN Emergency Management Services (RTO 51994) under the Australian Qualifications Framework. |

Delivery Mode | Face to face and practical hands-on training conducted by an experienced Emergency Services Trainer/Assessor with strong knowledge of relevant Legislation, Australian Standards and Codes of Practice. |

Materials or Equipment Required | Participants must be wear long pants, long sleeve shirts and steel cap boots. |
