Description

If you work, or are responsible for people who work, in confined spaces, this course is designed to give you the appropriate knowledge required for performing routine procedures such as entering and exiting confined spaces.

Purpose

The purpose of this training course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to perform safe, efficient and effective confined space entry within the workplace.

Duration

1 day (8 hours)

Entry Requirements

MSMPER200 Work in accordance with an issued permit which is delivered in accordance with units within this training package

Language, literacy and numeracy requirements from the unit are:
- Writing is required to the level of completing written assessments.
- Numeracy is required to enable the determination of similar activities.

Assessment Requirements

The course will be based on theoretical sessions, equipment demonstrations and practical exercises.

Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Riklan Emergency Management Services (RTO 51994)

Delivery Mode

Face to face and practical hands-on training conducted by an experienced instructor with strong knowledge of relevant legislation and Australian Standards.
