Confined Space & Gas Testing Cluster
This course is suitable if you work, or are responsible for people who work, in confined spaces, this course is designed to provide you with the appropriate skills and knowledge to test the working atmosphere using electronic test apparatus and enter and work in confined spaces. Topics covered include:
– Plan and prepare for working in a confined spaces.
– Obtain entry permit and instructions.
– Recognise and assess conditions that require testing.
– Take readings and interpret data
– Interpret and applying safe work methods.
– Apply tagging and lock out procedures.
– Select PPE applicable to all tasks.
– Use atmospheric monitoring devices prior to entering the confined space and during confined space activity.
– Perform work in the confined space.
– Identify hazards and apply control measures.
– Exit the confined space and remove tagging and lock out
– Clean and maintain equipment.
Front End Loader
This course is appropriate for those working in operational roles where they are required to conduct front end loader operations.
This course is aligned to the nationally recognised unit RIIMPO321F Conduct civil construction wheel loader operations which specifies the outcomes required including planning and preparation for work, the conduct of operational checks, the safe and effective operation of the machine for a range of mandatory tasks, the fitting, use and removal of attachments and operator maintenance activities.

This course covers the skills and knowledge required to conduct telescopic materials handler operations. This course applies to those working in site-based roles.
Chief Fire Warden Standalone
This unit of competency involves the skills and knowledge required to make decisions about the safety of occupants during a facility emergency and to give instructions on the priority order for responding to an emergency incident.
It includes leading the preparation of facility emergency response procedures; commanding, controlling and coordinating facility emergency response procedures and responses and concluding the facility emergency incident. Individuals who undertake this work may also act as the primary liaison with emergency services after their arrival.

Control Underground Fires Standalone
This unit covers controlling fires in underground metalliferous mines. It includes: assessing the situation and preparing for fire control operations; controlling the fire; and restoring and refurbishing fire equipment to operational condition.
