Fire Warden training is suitable for companies and organisations that require selected members of staff to be trained as workplace fire wardens. It will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage building emergencies. Participants will learn how to respond to a fire or other incident, raise the alarm, evacuate building occupants, identify themselves as fire wardens and how to assist with post-incident procedures.

Load Restraint Cluster
This course involves the skills and knowledge required to load and unload goods and cargo, including loading and unloading goods, securing and protecting the load and completing all required documentation.
Gantry (Overhead) Crane Cluster
This course covers the skills and knowledge required to conduct lifting operations by operating a gantry or overhead crane which is controlled by pendant or wireless remote. This training qualifies you to operate a gantry or overhead crane with three (3) or less powered motions, where hoist/raise and lower is one operation.
Short/Cross travel is one motion; Long/Length travel is a second motion; and Hoist raise or Hoist lower is a third motion.
IMPORTANT: This course does not cover the requirements for a gantry or overhead crane with four (4) or more powered motions. A High Risk Work Licence (class CB) is required for this type of crane.
Fire Extinguisher
This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to demonstrate the use of portable fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire blankets.
Fire Equipment Inspection
This course provides participant’s with the skills and knowledge required by fire service technicians responsible for routinely inspecting and testing fire extinguishers and fire blankets on customers’ premises. It specifies the outcomes required to conduct routine monthly, six-monthly and yearly inspections and testing of fire extinguishers and fire blankets at a customer’s premises.
Confined Space & Gas Testing Cluster Refresher
This course is aimed at those participants who have previously undertaken Nationally recognised training in Confined Space Entry & Gas Testing who need to refresh their knowledge and skills. Please note strict criteria does apply.
Confined Space & Gas Testing Cluster
This course is suitable if you work, or are responsible for people who work, in confined spaces, this course is designed to provide you with the appropriate skills and knowledge to test the working atmosphere using electronic test apparatus and enter and work in confined spaces. Topics covered include:
– Plan and prepare for working in a confined spaces.
– Obtain entry permit and instructions.
– Recognise and assess conditions that require testing.
– Take readings and interpret data
– Interpret and applying safe work methods.
– Apply tagging and lock out procedures.
– Select PPE applicable to all tasks.
– Use atmospheric monitoring devices prior to entering the confined space and during confined space activity.
– Perform work in the confined space.
– Identify hazards and apply control measures.
– Exit the confined space and remove tagging and lock out
– Clean and maintain equipment.
Conduct Telescopic Materials Handler Operations
This course covers the skills and knowledge required to conduct telescopic materials handler operations. This course applies to those working in site-based roles.
Chief Fire Warden Standalone
This unit of competency involves the skills and knowledge required to make decisions about the safety of occupants during a facility emergency and to give instructions on the priority order for responding to an emergency incident.
It includes leading the preparation of facility emergency response procedures; commanding, controlling and coordinating facility emergency response procedures and responses and concluding the facility emergency incident. Individuals who undertake this work may also act as the primary liaison with emergency services after their arrival.
