Description | This course covers the competency associated with the identification, avoidance, review, and evaluation of workplace risks and hazards, maintenance of personal safety and the reporting to supervisors and team members. Participants will also gain the competency to participate in rescue operations as a member of a rescue team along with the competency to provide emergency care pending the arrival of appropriately qualified personnel. The course participants will also learn the necessary skills to undertake rescue in confined spaces. While the training for the three units is delivered concurrently, each Unit of Competency is assessed as a discrete unit. The pre-requisite unit is assessed sequentially. |

Qualification Requirements | Each successful participant will be issued a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for PUASAR025A Undertake confined space rescue |

Assessment Requirements | The course will be based on theoretical sessions, written assessment, equipment demonstrations and practical exercises. |

Delivery Mode | Face to face and practical hands-on training conducted by an experienced Emergency Services instructor with strong knowledge of relevant legislation and Australian Standards. |

Materials or Equipment Required | Students must wear long pants, long sleeve shirts and steel cap boots. |

Notes | If you are a new or continuing student undertaking nationally recognised training, you need a USI in order to receive your qualification or statement of attainment for this unit. |
